Meningococcal disease is a rare but severe infection that occurs when meningococcal bacteria invade the body and can cause severe long term health complications or even death.
Qld Health Meningococcal QACWY Vaccination Program is starting in June.
This vaccine will be offered to all Year 10 students in school year 2017.
The Meningococcal vaccination program will be offered by Bidgerdii and Children and Family Centre (CFC) for vaccination for all 15 to 19 year olds from June 2017 until May 2018.
